Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St., offers Summer Reading through Aug. 9. Children up to age 12 can earn free books and prizes for tracking their reading and learning activities. Stop in any time during the summer to sign up and get a game board. A foam party summer reading final will take place on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 1 p.m. Wear something that can get wet. Swim shoes and a change of clothes are also a good idea.
A preschool and toddler storytime and play group is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, and Aug. 7, 14 and 28, at 10:30 a.m. Join Ms. Meghan for stories, songs and fun for ages 4 and under with caregivers. Stay after storytime to play. Siblings welcome.
Monday Fun Day will take place at 3 p.m., through Aug. 12. Stop in every Monday for a new activity. Do crafts and science experiments, play games and build with Lego bricks.

Revolution at the Library: What’s Under the Museum? is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 14, at noon. Go behind the scenes with Museum of the American Revolution staff to discover cool artifacts from the past, and learn all about archaeology, and the thousands of objects discovered under the museum in an 18th-century toilet.
Revolution at the Library: Spies of the Revolution is set for Wednesday, Aug. 21, at noon. Join Museum of the American Revolution staff to learn about the spies of the Revolution.

St. Hubert going to NYC
St. Hubert will hold a day trip to New York on Saturday, Nov. 23. A bus will depart the school at 7:45 a.m. There will be an 11 a.m. showing of the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, followed by free time until the bus departs at 5:45 p.m. The cost is $220 per person, paid in full by Oct. 1. Peg McCook tournament in August
The Margaret “Peg” McCook Sports Tournament will take place Aug. 9-11 at Cione Playground, Aramingo and Lehigh avenues. Proceeds benefit scholarships for students entering high school.

AM Radio Trio band to perform at Protestant Home
AM Radio Trio band will perform a free concert on Wednesday, July 31, at the Philadelphia Protestant Home, 6401 Martins Mill Road.

The Associated Polish Home, 9150 Academy Road, will host A Night to Remember Those Wildwood Days on Saturday, Aug. 10. The Fishtown Card Show will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 17-18, at Rivers Casino, 1001 N. Delaware Ave. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 18. Veterans monuments coming to Campbell Square
Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 87 will be unveiling two monuments honoring veterans in Campbell Square park, Allegheny Avenue and Belgrade Street, on Saturday, Aug. 24, at noon. The first monument is dedicated to all veterans from the Port Richmond neighborhood. The second is dedicated to John J. McVeigh, the only World War II Medal of Honor recipient from Philadelphia.
There will be patriotic music, and a proclamation from the state House will be given to McVeigh’s daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend. ••

Hero Thrill Show is Sept. 21
The 69th annual Hero Thrill Show will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21, from noon to 5 p.m., at the Wells Fargo Center.
