Taylor announces Senior Expo bus schedule

State Rep. John J. Taylor’s Senior Expo 2011 will be held Fri., Oct. 7, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Cohocksink Recreation Center, Cedar and Cambria streets.

The event is a free, one-stop information fair for senior citizens and their families, which allows them to gain access to information on a wide range of topics.

Agencies participating include the Philadelphia Police Department, Philadelphia Electric Co., Philadelphia Water Department, medical equipment agencies, hospitals, city agencies, state agencies, insurance companies, and more.

Blood-pressure and cholesterol tests will be given, and massages will be available. Transportation will be available throughout the district at specific locations.

Bus pickup schedule:

• St. Anne Seniors, 2608 E. Cumberland St., at 9:30 a.m. and 11:10 a.m.

• Juniata Older Adult Center, L and Sedgely, 10:10 a.m. and 11:25 a.m.

• Our Lady of Port Richmond, Thompson and Allegheny, 10:50 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. and noon.

• Pope John Paul School, 4427 Almond St., 10:35 and 11:45 a.m.
