Bridesburg Halloween Contest

A Halloween Contest for boys and girls 10 and under with trophies, door prizes and treats will take place Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. sharp at the Bridesburg Rec Center, 4625 Richmond St.

Lutheran Settlement Halloween Party

HALLOWEEN PARTY at Lutheran Settlement House on Friday, Oct. 28. Prizes will be awarded for most original and funniest costume. Cost is $5, which includes an enhanced meal plus special chicken wings, and plenty of treats for your enjoyment. Non-members are most welcome to join us.

3rd Annual Adaire Haunted School

On Fri., Oct. 28, Adaire School will be hosting a haunted house event for Halloween from 6–8:30 p.m.

Come tour the haunted hallways and visit with the gouls and goblins of Adaire School. End your tour with music and treats in the gym. We are looking for donations of drinks, snacks, make-up, decorations and most of all time. Cost is just $5 for adults and $3 for children and includes the tour and snacks. Nativity Halloween Party

Kids grades K-8 are invited to the Witches and Wizards Halloween Party on Fri., Oct. 28 at the Nativity Beacon Center/OLHC church hall, 2420 Allegheny Ave. Hot dogs, chips and witches brew will be served! $5 per ticket or $10 per family. Liberty Lands Halloween Fall Festival

Come out to Liberty Lands park at 3rd and Wildey streets, Sun., Oct. 30, from noon to 6 p.m. for a Halloween fest family-related activities.••

First Presby Halloween

The First Presbyterian Church, 418 E. Girard Ave., will host at “Light the Night” gala on Monday, Oct. 31 from 6–8 p.m.

Halloween Horse Riding

Riders of the Park: Pennypack, a horse-riding organization, invites the public to a Halloween show on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 8600 Krewstown Road.

Classes will be offered for $5 each, or seven for $25.

The event will also include a flea market and the sale of horse-riding equipment. Tables cost $10 each.

Half of the proceeds go to the Philadelphia Police Department mounted unit.
