Police believe the 29-year-old Martinez, of the 6700 block of Torresdale Avenue, calmly strode into the bank branch at about 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 12 and produced a note demanding cash.

After receiving an unspecified amount of money, police said Martinez fled on foot.

Following the robbery, police released a detailed description of the suspect along with a still photo taken from surveillance footage.

Contacted Monday, Oct. 31, Little couldn’t provide more details on the arrest. Martinez is charged with robbery and related offenses. Little laughed, but provided no explanation when asked about the peculiar haircut Martinez sported for his mug shot.
