Angler Movement Studio classes
Beginning June 2, Angler Movement Arts Center’s new program, Angler Movement Studio, will offer classes in basic movement for both adults and children. AMS will offer continuous six-week sessions that can be paid for in advance ($80), or any class can be taken on a per class basis for a drop in rate of $15. ••
NLNA Board elections
The annual Northern Liberties Neighbors Association Board election will take place during the general meeting on Thursday, May 31 at 7 p.m., at the Community Center on Third and Fairmount streets. Voting for President, Treasurer, and six at-large board seats.
You must be registered with the NLNA to vote. You can register the night of; bring proof of residency in NoLibs and arrive at 6:45. Candidates will speak briefly and answer questions, and ballots will be collected by 8 p.m. The committee will also accept nominations for a newly vacated at-large Board seat. Budget seminar

Homeowner workshop
On Tuesday, June 5, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Concilio (Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations) will host a free homeownership workshop to educate the community on how to become successful homeowners and prevent foreclosure. Justice for Wayne Walk
At 10 a.m. on July 28th, there will be a march in memory of Wayne Ellis. He was shot and killed while on his was home on July 28 in 2002 at Belgrade Street and Frankford Ave. He left behind a daughter, as well as tons of friends and family who are haunted by questions. His family said that it was his mothers dying wish to know who killed her son.
They seek 100 or more people to join in the walk. Everyone is welcome. Afterwards they are going to have a block party at 2310 E. Fletcher St.
The walk will begin at Front and Spring Garden streets and head to Frankford Ave. at Belgrade St.
It costs $10 per person to participate in the walk, and $20 to attend the beef and beer if you don’t participate in the memorial walk.

Gun Buy Back Program
On Saturday, June 30, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the Kensington Ministry, 2140 N Hancock St., the 26th Police District is conducting a “Gun Buy Back Program” in order to increase safety, reduce crime, and save lives.
The 26th Police District and its community partners ask that local businesses join this effort. By contributing you are standing with the brave law-abiding citizens and strengthening the economic future of our community.
Your contribution to this effort will be commended publicly in all promotional materials advertising the event
The money gathered from businesses and elected officials will be used to buy gift cards to area food markets. Unloaded guns or rifles can be exchanged for a $100 dollar gift card, no questions asked. The money you donate will go directly to removing guns from our streets.

FNA zoning meeting
On Tuesday, June 5, at 7 p.m. the Fishtown Neighbors Association’s zoning comittee will meet to discuss a project proporal for 1221 Frankford Avenue. The proposal is for a use variance for a gym. This meeting will be held at the Fishtown Rec Center, 1202 E. Montgomery Ave.
All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote. Please bring proof of residence or business ownership in the form of a driver’s license or a photo ID and a lease, utility bill, or recent piece of mail addressed to your home or business. ••
Broadway dance at Glavin
The Frank Glavin playground will host a special dance workshop patterned to Broadway performances. The eight week instructional program will be held Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m., June 20 through August 15. The course is designed for children 10 years old and older.
Program cost is $50. Students should have tap / jazz shoes and water. Class size will be limited, registration in advance is required.
Also, Glavin’s summer camp for 7 to 12 year olds still has aspace vailable for campers.
The after school program is now accepting applications for the upcoming school year. Supervised after school and homework help activities provided for students K — 6th Grade.
