Dorney Park trip

The Philadelphia Parks and Recreation District 2 trip to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom will be on Tuesday, July 17 through the Bridesburg Recreation Center.

Tickets with bus transportation are $37; tickets without bus transportation are $30. All money is due by Thursday, July 12 at 6 p.m.

If traveling by bus, be at the center by 8 a.m. The bus will leave Dorney Park at 5 pm. See the rec. center staff for tickets or more information. The rec. center is located at 4625 Richmond St., and can be reached at 215–685–1247. ••

St. Adalbert bazaar

The parish’s summer bazaar will be held Thursday through Saturday, August 2 through August 4, beginning at 6 p.m. each night at 2645 E. Allegheny Ave.

Browse the flea market, enjoy homemade Polish food, and enjoy the Polish American String Band Thursday, a polka trio Friday and continental Polish music Saturday. ••

LSH seeks art teacher

The senior center of the Lutheran Settlement House, at 1340 Frankford Ave., would like to recruit a retired art teacher for its Tuesday morning class. Small stipend available. Please call Peggy at 215–426–8610×2306. ••

Summer basketball league

The Hancock Recreation Center will host; children ages 13 and under and those 14 to 16 years old may participate. The league fee will be $100 per team, of which $50 will be refunded if your team does not forfeit any games.

Official league basketball shirts and a coach shirt will be provided. Each team will pay its own referee’s fee.

St. John Cantius reunion

Konrad Square flea market

The Friends of Konrad Square will host a flea market on Saturday, July 14 and Saturday, July 28 at Konrad Square at Tulip and Dauphin streets from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. To rent a space, call Vicky at 215–426–9654. ••

Margaret “Peg” McCook sports tournament

The tournament will be held July 20, 21, and 22 at Cione Playground at Lehigh and Aramingo avenues and at Cohox Playground at Cedar and Cambria streets. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and student scholarships.

In the tournament, there will be: men’s and women’s softball, basketball and soccer for $125; youth soccer for $100; youth basketball for $75, horseshoes for $25 per thrower, plus a 5K run on July 21 for $25.

FNA zoning meeting

On Tuesday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m., the Fishtown Neighbors Association zoning committee will discuss plans for 1100 E. Hewson St.

The meeting will take place at the Fishtown Rec. Center, 1202 E. Montgomery Ave. All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote. Please bring proof of residence. ••
