What makes Mick’s Inn so special?

According to owner Fran Semon, it’s the bar’s welcoming atmosphere and the fact that the establishment caters to customers of every age — over 21, of course.

“We get everyone in here, from kids in their twenties to guys in their eighties,” said Semon.

Recently, Semon, whose uncle owned and operated the establishment for many years, bought the bar from a group of owners.

He said he’s happy to have Mick’s Inn back under the ownership of his family.

“I grew up in here,” he said.

Semon said that Mick’s “good bartenders and a good crowd,” make it a great place to meet friends for a few drinks.

“There’s never any trouble here. I mean, you’ll never get hit with a bottle or anything,” he said with a laugh. “I was astounded [to learn of the readers’ vote]. I mean, this place runs itself.”

Mick’s Inn is located at 2526 E. Clearfield St. and can be contacted at 215–739–5979.
