Stacy Gorman of Donna’s Bar in Port Richmond, said she thinks there are a few reasons why people consider her a top-notch server.

“I’m very goofy and down-to-earth,” she said. “I don’t judge anybody.”

Gorman, who said she’s a paralegal working at the bar as a side job, grew up in the neighborhood and has learned to speak a bit of Polish, which helps her communicate with some of the bar’s patrons.

She said she is not just a server — she tends bar, cooks, cleans up after closing and takes care of anything else the bar needs.

Gorman said she likes all of her duties.

“It’s cool because it keeps me going, and keeps me in shape,” she said. “They [customers] call me ‘the Road Runner,’” she said with a smile.

As Gorman spoke, customers called her over for playful banter and photograph after photograph.

Just like her namesake cartoon character, Gorman zoomed around the bar with great haste, a huge grin on her face all the while.

“I just love people,” she said.

Call Donna’s bar at 215–426–7618.
