PRWCAN to meet
The next meeting of the Port Richmond West Community Action network will be Thurs., Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Memphis Street Academy Charter School (formerly J.P. Jones Middle School) at 2950 Memphis St.
The group will discuss the state’s Voter ID law and hear from city representatives and the election watchdog group, The Committee of Seventy. Come and bring a friend or neighbor! ••

Bridesburg hoagie sale
Bridesburg United Methodist Church, at 2717 Kirkbride St., will host a hoagie sale on Sept. 22 from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m.

Rizzo PAL signups
The Rizzo PAL Center is offering instructional basketball for boys and girls ages 5 to 8, girls’ in-house basketball for ages 9 to 12, and a wiffleball league for boys ages 9 to 12.
Signups are Monday through Thursday, Sept. 24, 25, 26, and 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rizzo PAL, 2524 E. Clearfield St. The Rizzo PAL Girls Positive Images Program for ages 10 to 17 will have a registration night on Monday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m.

SKCP elections
On Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m., at the SKCP office at 1301 N. 2nd St., the South Kensington Community Partners (SKCP) will hold its Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) Elections.
The group is currently looking for neighbors to serve on the election committee, which oversees this election process, as well as those who are interested in running for the Neighborhood Advisory Committee.

PROPAC and PRTW to meet
PROPAC (Port Richmond on Patrol and Civic) and PRTW (Port Richmond Town Watch) will resume monthly meetings beginning Tuesday, September 25th. All meetings will begin at 7 p.m. at Samuel’s Recreation Center at Gaul and Tioga streets.
During the September meeting there will be a representative from the 24th Police District to go over crime statistics for the area. The group will also accept nominations for PROPAC board members, create a Port Richmond Memorial Day parade committee and take applications for a free street tree. ••
St. Adalbert’s senior club
The club is sponsoring a Sept. 25 trip to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City.

B. Someday Productions presents the first annual fundraiser for its Barrymore Award-winning theatre outreach program, Of Mythic Proportions, on Saturday, September 29, 6 to 10 p.m. at Michael’s Decorators, 2210 Frankford Ave.

Celebrating Father Daniel Moriarity
The Rev. Daniel Moriarity has been serving the Port Richmond parish of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary for 25 years.

John J. Taylor’s Senior Expo
State Rep. John Taylor’s Senior Expo will be held Friday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cohocksink Recreation Center, Cedar and Cambria streets. The expo is a free, one-stop information fair for seniors and their families. Door prizes will be awarded all day.
Expect to see representatives from the Philadelphia Police Department, PECO, insurance companies, medical companies, veteran agencies and many others.

Walking Fish classes
