As part of the city’s fall LOVE Your Park Day, neighbors joined together at Port Richmond’s Campbell Square Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to clean and green the space. They put the park “to bed” for winter by tidying the garden beds, raking leaves and finishing end-of-season chores. Some 18 volunteers gathered 75 bags of leaves, which will be made into compost at the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Recycling Center, and also collected two large bags of trash. Way to love your park, Port Richmond!
