The second annual Fishtown Saint LauRUNtius 5K saw a turnout of about 300 participants on Saturday, April 20.

Prior to the race, at Memphis and Berks streets, participants honored the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings with a moment of silence and a moment of appreciation for law enforcement.

Kyle Francis was the overall male winner in record time, and Christina Cicco won the female race.

The race raised $15,000 for St. Laurentius School. The staff and parents of St. Laurentius thank the many volunteers and sponsors, including the Penn Treaty Special Services District and Jim Anderson Construction for their contributions, as well as the officers of the 26th Police District.
