MDG Annual Italian Festival

The Mother of Divine Grace Parish annual Italian Festival will continue through June, 6, 7 and 8. The festival begins at 4:30 p.m. each day and runs through the evening. For information, visit mdgitalianfestival.org. ••

PROPAC and PRTW to meet

PROPAC (Port Richmond on Patrol and Civic) and PRTW (Port Richmond Town Watch) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 6. All meetings begin at 7pm at Samuel’s Recreation Center, Gaul & Tioga Streets. There will be a zoning issue and presentation plus an update on the old warehouse at Richmond and Schiller. ••

St. George Parish summer bazaar

The St. George annual bazaar will be held June 6, 7, and 8 and 13, 14, 15, Thursday through Saturday both weeks, beginning each night at 7 p.m. and running through the evening. Homemade foods will be available, with kitchen specials each night and a beer garden.

Mummers will be joining the festivities for Alumni Night on June 7, with DJs playing on various nights. Location: Saint George’s Parish, 2700 E. Venango St. ••

Konrad Square flea market on Saturdays

The Friends of Konrad Square will host a flea market on the following Saturdays: June 8 and June 22 at Tulip and Dauphin streets, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Anyone interested in renting a space should call Vicky at 215–426–9654. ••

Vendy Awards at Penn Treaty Park

The Vendy Awards will take place on Saturday, June 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. in Penn Treaty Park. The best street food vendors in the city will compete in a cook-off. Tickets are $55, $35 for kids. Proceeds go to The Food Trust. For tickets and other information, visit phillyvendys.eventbrite.com. ••

Bridesburg Historical Society to meet

The next meeting of the Bridesburg Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at 7:30 p.m. at All Saints Marian Hall, on the northwest corner of Edgemont and Buckius streets. Teresa Pyott will take you on “An Olfactory Tour of Olde Bridesburg.” Join in on remembering what it was like to live in an industrial neighborhood, enduring the smells and smogs of yesteryear. Hancock Rec. summer day camp

Hancock Recreation Center is currently accepting applications for its Summer Day Camp 2013, for ages 5 to 12. Camp will begin Monday, July 1 through August 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served.Games, arts and crafts, weekly trips, swimming and much more will be available. The Friends of Penn Treaty Park invite you to Movie In The Park night on Wednesday, June 12, at 7 p.m., to see “Thunderstruck.” This film is rated PG, so bring the entire family to this story of about a basketball star who switches talent with a klutzy 16-year-old fan. The Friends of Penn Treaty Park also invite you to a presentation of the Portside Art Center’s acting students performing monologues on Friday, June 14 at 6 p.m., at Penn Treaty Park. ••

Summer beef and beer social

Portside Arts Center Silent Auction

You’re invited to attend Portside Arts Center’s silent art auction Friday, June 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Giant Steps Gallery, 229 S. 20th St. This fundraiser will support Porside’s Mobile Arts Initiative bus; Portside has designed a layout which converts a 40-foot SEPTA bus into a mobile arts classroom. The auction will feature art work from Portside’s talented students and teachers. ••

American Legion Auxiliary flea market and bake sale

The Auxiliary will sponsor a flea market and bake sale on Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. around the outside perimeter of Palmer Cemetery. Table spaces are $8. The 3rd Annual Fishtown Men’s Softball Classic

All Former Fishtown A.C. softball league players are invited to the 3rd Annual Fishtown Softball Classic on Saturday, June 15, from noon until 7 p.m. at Hetzell’s Field, Thompson Street and Columbia Avenue. The cost is $25 per player, which includes a game shirt, food, and drink. There will be two games, the first for the 50 and over guys, followed by the 30 to 49 year-olds. Flapjack fundraiser for Autism Speaks

Come help support Autism Speaks and eat unlimited pancakes at the same time. Adults cost $7, kids cost $5. Kids summer programs at Bridesburg Rec

Kinder Kamp begins June 25 for boys and girls aged 2, 3, and 4 years old as of Sept. 1, 2013. Camp is from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Cost: $110 for two four-week sessions. Day camp/extended camp for boys and girls, kindergarten through 6th grade (younger than 12), will be offered from Monday, July 22 to Friday, August 16, Monday through Friday.
