The bank coordinated a job-shadowing day, as well as a money management workshop for local youth, the bank said in a press release.

During the school year, student interns are paired with leading local community businesses for “Career Week.” This year, those businesses hosting an intern for ‘Job Shadowing Day’ included Hyperion Bank, the Philadelphia 76ers, Congreso de Latinos Unidos, and the office of Councilman David Oh.

Olde Richmond’s new bar and restaurant

The former Chug-a-Mug bar will become Cook and Shaker bar and restaurant in the fall.

Cook and Shaker, 2301 E. Albert St., will have 55 seats and is the project of neighborhood resident Laura Viegas, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Cook and Shaker’s menu will feature craft beers and food with ingredients from nearby Greensgrow Farms, 2503 E. Firth St.

The spot will also feature a juke box and karaoke machine, menu items all under $15, eight beer taps with at least one cider, and cocktails made with fruit juices squeezed in-house, according to philly.com.

“Throughout the design process, I was adamant about not installing a walk-in cooler because I’d rather rely on a smaller reach-in model,” Viegas told the Business Journal. “With less space for storage, our team will have to take time to make everything fresh, every day.” ••
