Mother of Divine Grace spaghetti supper

MDG is hosting its annual spaghetti supper on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 2 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children, which can be purchased in the school hall on Monmouth Street. Join your neighbors for an afternoon of fine Italian dining. For more information, call 215–837–7755.

New business open house

The Michael J. Primavera Insurance Agency, Inc. a Farmer’s Insurance agency, will host a new business open house at 601 Belgrade St. on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with free refreshments and a chance to meet neighbors and learn about the business. Finquita Fiesta

Friends of Cione will have a meeting on Wed., Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m., at the Cione Playground Building, Aramingo and Lehigh avenues. Please join and share your ideas on improvements for Cione. ••

Beef-and-beer for Barb Zimath

A beef and beer will be held on Friday, Nov. 8 for Barbara Zimath, a Port Richmond woman assaulted during a robbery. The fundraiser will be from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Polish American String Band Hall, 2729 Westmoreland St. ••

Franklin Towne beef-and-beer

On Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., Franklin Towne Charter High School is holding its annual beef and beer. There will be baskets for silent auction and multiple 50/50 chances.

Early Christmas bazaar

Christmas comes early at St. John Cantius on Nov. 8 and 9. Enjoy games, homemade Polish food, holiday shopping and more at 4415 Almond St. The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, and 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. ••

Veterans Day at Campbell Square

A wreath-laying ceremony will be held by the Korean War Veterans, Chapter 38, on Monday, Nov. 11, at Campbell Square in Port Richmond, at Allegheny Avenue and Belgrade Street, at 11 a.m. ••

Bridesburg Historical Society to meet

The next meeting of the Bridesburg Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Marian Hall on the northwest corner of Edgemont and Buckius Streets. The guest speaker will be a representative from Glen Foerd Mansion. Admission is free. ••

St. Anne’s Christmas Bazaar

St. Anne’s will host a holiday craft and Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held on the second floor in the Social Hall, Memphis and Tucker streets.

There will be many vendors to buy from, plus Santa’s secret workshop, and games for the children. The kitchen will be selling homemade food. Tables are still available for $25. To reserve a table, call Karen 215–634–6138. ••

Kids Cook, a lesson on healthy eating, on Monday, Nov. 18, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mommy and Me, a storybook reading, on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10:30 a.m. Preschool storytime will be the first Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. ••

Sons of Italy Ladies Night

The Ladies of Port Richmond will take a trip to the American Music Theatre in Lancaster to see The First Noel Christmas on Saturday, Nov. 30. Wreaths Across Palmer

Please support “Wreaths Across Palmer” on Dec. 14 by helping honor veterans buried in Palmer Cemetery. Visit waa.convio.net/goto/wreathsacrosspalmer before Nov. 30 to donate. Chance drive for a Santa visit

Beef-and-beer for St. Joachim

A fundraiser is being held to support St. Joachim Parish’s appeal to the Vatican to be reopened. The beef and beer will be held on Friday, Dec. 13 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Philadelphia Ballroom, at 2014 Hornig Road. Tickets: $30.

Kids’ basketball clinics

Once again, Jen Ricco-McCook is running basketball clinics for boys and girls ages 7 to 13. Individual clinics will be held Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Samuel Rec.

Bridesburg Rec. Christmas drive

Through the Aid for Friends Christmas 2013 drive, items for senior shut-ins are currently being collected at the Bridesburg Recreation Center.

Classes at Bridesburg Rec.

Cione Rec Center

The Cione after school program now has openings. The program is for boys and girls age 5 to 12. It runs from 2:30 to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday from now until Memorial Day in May.
