PRCG to meet

The Port Richmond Community Group will meet tomorrow, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m., at Our Lady Help of Christians Church hall basement, Allegheny Avenue at Gaul Street.

NKCDC will present a neighborhood improvement plan, which will utilize newly obtained grant money to help the neighborhood. PGW will discuss a home rebate program, and Parks and Recreation will accept maintenance requests for all local playgrounds.

Sons of Italy Ladies Night

Magic show at Richmond Library

Recycle with the Girl Scouts

Save your aluminum cans for drop off on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Ed Sullivan Recycle Center, on 3361 Edgemont St. (between Ontario and Westmorland Sts.) from 10 a.m. to noon.

Just drive up with your recyclables and the girls will come and take them out of your car for you. Proceeds will help funding for special service projects planned by the girls. ••

NKCDC green resources meeting

The NKCDC will be sharing green resources and event information with neighbors at a special event at Blessed Virgin Mary Nativity Church, 2535 E. Allegheny Ave., at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Bridesburg private police meeting

An informational meeting regarding the Pennsylvania Private Police, LLC, will be hosted by Christopher Rodriguez, on Monday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Bridesburg Presbyterian Church social hall, 2770 Pratt St. ••

Konrad Square flea market

The Friends of Konrad Square will host a flea market on Saturday Nov. 30 , at Konrad Square, Tulip and Dauphins streets, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Anyone interested in renting a space should call Vicky 215–426–9654. ••

Emmanuel Church auction

Emanuel United Church of Christ “ticket in basket” auction will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30. The church is located at 2628 Fillmore Street (off Thompson) in Bridesburg.

Doors open at 11 a.m., drawing at 12:30 p.m. Food available for purchase. Admission is $4. ••

LOPR trip to Lancaster

The Ladies of Port Richmond will take a trip to the American Music Theatre in Lancaster to see The First Noel Christmas on Saturday, Nov. 30. Cost of tickets is $100 for adults, $70 for children 11 to 17, and $60 for children under 10.

Operation Santa Claus beef and beer

Wreaths Across Palmer

Chance drive for a Santa visit

Beef-and-beer for St. Joachim

A fundraiser is being held to support St. Joachim Parish’s appeal to the Vatican to be reopened. The beef and beer will be held on Friday, Dec. 13 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Philadelphia Ballroom, at 2014 Hornig Road. Tickets: $30.

Bridesburg Rec. Christmas drive

Through the Aid for Friends Christmas 2013 drive, items for senior shut-ins are currently being collected at the Bridesburg Recreation Center.

Cione Rec Center

The Cione after school program now has openings. The program is for boys and girls age 5 to 12. It runs from 2:30 to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday from now until Memorial Day in May.

Christmas Carols in Penn Treaty Park
