Operation Santa Claus beef-and-beer

Chance drive for a Santa visit

Tickets are on sale now for a chance drive to win a visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. To get your tickets, visit St. Anne’s Parish Church, 2328 E Lehigh Ave. Tickets are $5 each or $10 for three.

M.D.G. Christmas Bazaar

On Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mother of Divine Grace School will hold its Christmas Bazaar in the church hall. Come enjoy craft vendors to shop for holiday gifts. There will be crafts for kids, pictures with Santa, and food available. ••

Greensgrow Holiday Bazaar

On the weekends of December 7–8 and 14–15, shop local, support local artists and get local, handmade gifts from some of the neighborhood’s most talented crafters and artists at the Greensgrow Holiday Bazaar. Beef-and-beer for St. Joachim

A fundraiser is being held to support St. Joachim Parish’s appeal to the Vatican to be reopened. Wreaths Across Palmer

St. Michael’s Christmas Bazaar

St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Trenton Avenue and Cumberland St., will have a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be pictures with Santa, baked goods for sale, a Tombola Table, raffles and much more. There will also be a table with anti-bullying information and pledge cards to sign. Please bring a canned good to this event, to support the church’s food pantry. ••

Christmas carols at Penn Treaty

On Saturday, December 14, at 2 p.m., the singing of Christmas carols will take place at Penn Treaty Park. Children are encouraged to bring handmade ornaments to decorate the Christmas tree. ••

Company B auditions

Singers, dancers, actors or anyone from ages 8–18 interested in becoming a member of a musical theatre group is invited to audition for Company B’s Spring 2014 season at the Bridesburg Recreation Center on Dec. 14. Junior Group (ages 8–12) will audition at 11:30 a.m.; senior group (13–18) will audition at 1 p.m. Come prepared to sing a musical theatre or movie song. ••

Walking Fish ‘American Fairy Tales’

B. Someday Productions will present a family-friendly, holiday performance of ‘American Fairy Tales’ from Dec. 18 to 31 at Walking Fish Theatre, 2509 Frankford Ave. The cost is $7 for children (under 15) and $12 for adults. Bridesburg Rec. Christmas drive

Basketball sign-ups are taking place now. The clubhouse will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 6 to 8 p.m. Ages are 6–18, both boys and girls. St. Peter Christmas schedule

The National Shrine of Saint John Neumann at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 1019 N. 5th St., will have the following Christmas liturgy schedule: On Christmas Eve, the Archdiocesan Boy’s Choir will perform at 5:30 p.m. in the Upper Church.

At 10 p.m., the choir and orchestra will perform in the Upper Church. On Christmas Day, liturgies will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the Upper Church, 11 a.m., in Spanish, in the Upper Church, and 12:30 p.m. in the Upper Church. ••

Activities at Bridesburg Rec.

Zumba classes are being held Mondays and Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m. Zumba Toning is on Wednesdays. Cost: $4 per class. Scrap booking class is Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Cost: $5 per class.
