The next meeting of the Port Richmond on Patrol and Civic and Port Richmond Town Watch will be Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m., at Samuel’s Recreation Center, 3539 Gaul St. Agenda items for this meeting are: elections for PRTW vice president and treasurer, and PSA-3 crime statistics, as well as visits from the Energy Coordinating Agency. ••
Christmas tree lighting:
The third annual Fishtown Christmas tree lighting will take place on Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.. The tree lighting will once again be held at Palmer Cemetery and will include the children’s choir from St. Laurentius Grade School. A special visit from Santa will cap off a great evening to start the Christmas holidays. Please keep the date open and bring family and friends to the tree lighting. ••
M.D.G. Christmas Bazaar
On Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mother of Divine Grace School will hold its Christmas Bazaar in the church hall. Come enjoy craft vendors to shop for holiday gifts. There will be crafts for kids, pictures with Santa, and food available. ••
Greensgrow Holiday Bazaar

Bridesburg Historical Society to meet
The next meeting of the Bridesburg Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Marian Hall, on the northwest corner of Edgemont and Buckius Streets. Beef-and-beer for St. Joachim
A fundraiser is being held to support St. Joachim Parish’s appeal to the Vatican to be reopened. The beef and beer will be held on Friday, Dec. 13 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Philadelphia Ballroom, at 2014 Hornig Road. Tickets: $30. No tickets will be sold at the door. Wreaths Across Palmer
Please support “Wreaths Across Palmer” on Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. by helping honor veterans buried in Palmer Cemetery. St. Michael’s Christmas Bazaar
St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Trenton Avenue and Cumberland St., will have a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be pictures with Santa, baked goods for sale, a Tombola Table, raffles and much more. There will also be a table with anti-bullying information and pledge cards to sign. Please bring a canned good to this event, to support the church’s food pantry. ••
Christmas carols at Penn Treaty
On Saturday, December 14, at 2 p.m., the singing of Christmas carols will take place at Penn Treaty Park. Children are encouraged to bring handmade ornaments to decorate the Christmas tree. ••
Company B auditions
Singers, dancers, actors or anyone from ages 8–18 interested in becoming a member of a musical theatre group is invited to audition for Company B’s Spring 2014 season at the Bridesburg Recreation Center on Dec. 14. Junior Group (ages 8–12) will audition at 11:30 a.m.; senior group (13–18) will audition at 1 p.m. Come prepared to sing a musical theatre or movie song. ••
Walking Fish ‘American Fairy Tales’

Bridesburg Rec. Christmas drive

St. Peter Christmas schedule
The National Shrine of Saint John Neumann at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 1019 N. 5th St., will have the following Christmas liturgy schedule: On Christmas Eve, the Archdiocesan Boy’s Choir will perform at 5:30 p.m. in the Upper Church.
