Healthy cooking classes

Annual family auction
Our Lady of Port Richmond Regional Catholic School, 3233 Thompson St., will hold its annual family auction on Friday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are 25 for $5 and can be purchased at the event or through an OLPR student. The auction will be located in the lower hall. All are invited to enter through the Edgemont Street schoolyard. Easter candy sale
Bethesda Methodist Church, 2820 E. Venango St., will host its homemade Easter candy sale on Saturdays, April 8 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Easter eggs are 2 for $1 and include butter cream, coconut, chocolate, peanut butter, and fruit and nut. Lollypops, nests and other candy will be available for purchase for 50 cents to $1.
Gathering of the Eggs
Powers Park Conservancy will hold its annual Gathering of the Eggs for children 7 and younger in Powers Park, Ann & Almond streets, on Saturday, April 8, at 2 p.m. The event will feature games, raffles, the Easter Bunny, and eggs in plain view. Easter egg hunt fundraiser
The Children’s Heart Foundation will hold a benefit Easter egg hunt and vendor event on Saturday, April 8, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Elementary School, 3033 Levick St. The Easter Bunny and Minnie Mouse will make guest appearances. Revive Week
The Block Church will host Revive Week from Saturday, April 8 to Saturday, April 15. On Saturday, April 8, volunteers can participate in the 10th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup at Cohox Recreation Center, Cedar and Cambria streets, and Powers Park, Almond Street and Indiana Avenue. On Monday evening, April 10, supplies, socks, blankets, and dinner will be donated to the Last Stop. The Block Church will partner with Liberti East Church on Tuesday, April 11, and participate in their meal packing Easter Outreach program. On Wednesday, April 12, volunteers will have the opportunity to help String Theory Schools and the Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School by assisting in various cleaning, organizing, and repair projects. On Thursday, April 13, volunteers will provide lunch for the 24th Police District. On Saturday, April 15, there will be an Easter egg hunt at Penn Treaty Park, 1301 N. Beach St., from 2 to 4 p.m. The event will feature a bounce houses, characters, DJ, photo booth, prizes, and a separate hunt for furry friends. All members of the community are welcome to attend. Revive Week will be a testament to The Block Church’s mission “reviving the city one block at a time.” The Block Church will host four services Easter weekend, beginning April 14 with a Good Friday service in Center City at the Clef Club of Jazz, 738 S Broad St., 19146. FNA zoning meeting
FNA will hold a zoning meeting on Tuesday, April 11, at at 7 p.m. at Fishtown Recreation Center, 1202 E. Montgomery Ave. Voting will take place on a proposal for legalizing an existing building at 118–20 Richmond St. and a proposal combining two lots into one and renovating existing buildings into a four-story building with six dwelling units and commercial on the ground floor at 250 E. Dyngus Day
The Port Richmond Business Alliance will host Dyngus Day Festivities on Monday, April 17, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Polish Eagles Sports Club, 3157 E. Thompson St. Enter on Clementine Street. The event will feature PKM dancers, the Music Box Band, Polish American String Band and children’s activities. Traditional Polish food and drinks will be available for purchase. Admission is $10. Food pantry morning hours change
St. Michael’s Church, Trenton Avenue and Cumberland Street, has revised hours for the weekly food pantry distributions. Distribution hours are from 11 a.m. to noon.
