Football and cheer registration
Football and cheer registration is now open for The Leprechaun Sports Association. Registration for football is open to all new and returning football players ages 5 to 13. Registration fee is $100 and helmets are $80. Registration for cheer is open to all new and returning cheerleaders ages 5 to 12. Registration fee is $95. St. Adalbert Parish festival
St. Adalbert Parish Festival will be held on Thursday, June 22, Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24, beginning at 6 p.m., on the parish grounds, Allegheny Avenue and Thompson Street. There will be games for children, a moon bounce, face painting, a beer garden, a flea market, games of chance for the specialty baskets, a cake booth, jardo etc., homemade Polish & American food, cash casino and much more. Entertainment will be provided by the Polish American String Band on Thursday, DJ Patty-Pat on Friday and Continental Polish music on Saturday. Alumni Night will be on Friday, June 23. Festival will take place rain or shine.

Penn Treaty Park events
Friends of Penn Treaty Park, 1341 N. Delaware Ave., will host Nature Heroes featuring animal habitats on Saturday, June 24, at 4:30 p.m.

Fishtown community dinner

First Presbyterian Church, 418 E. Girard Ave., will host a community dinner on Saturday, June 24, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Anyone who wants to come out for a meal is welcome. No one is turned away. There is no cost for the meal. For details, email office@1stpresbykensington.org or call 215–739–5695.

Glitter Tattoos for tween and teens

Drag Queen storytime
Fishtown Library, 1217 E. Montgomery Ave. will host Drag Queen storytime in support of Pride Month on Thursday, June 29, at 4 p.m. The fabulous Brittany Lynn will read stories about diversity, acceptance and the importance of being true to oneself. DRCC free outdoor movie series
The Delaware River City Corporation will host its 3rd annual Free Outdoor Summer Movie Series. The series will kick-off with Toy Story on Thursday, July 13, at sundown in the field at Pennypack on the Delaware Park State Road and Pennypack Path. The remaining lineup includes Lilo and Stitch on July 27, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on Aug. 20, Finding Dory on Aug. 17, and Jurassic Park on Aug. 24. All movies begin at sundown. Senior produce vouchers
Philadelphia seniors ages 60 and older can now receive $20 in vouchers for fresh produce from Philadelphia Corporation for Aging. The vouchers can be used to purchase fresh Pennsylvania-grown produce sold at 55 certified farmers’ markets in Philadelphia. Income-eligible Philadelphia residents, who will be age 60 or older by Dec. 31, may receive the vouchers at PCA, 642 North Broad St. on weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; except Thursday, June 22, and at other designated sites. Bridesburg rec photos

Tot rec program
The Bridesburg Recreation Center, 4625 Richmond St., tot program will begin in September. Child must be of age as of Sept. 1. Looking for pictures from the Vet
Lou and Lynn Iatarola are planning a book on Veterans Stadium, and are asking the public to submit photos.The Iatarolas are looking for images related to sporting events, concerts and special events held at the Vet as well as demolition photos and images of the stadium area before and during construction. Game night
Friends of Penn Treaty School and Circle of Hope host a monthly family and teen friendly game night on the fourth Friday of every month from 6 to 9 p.m. at 2007 Frankford Ave. Games & snacks are provided, but guests are welcome to bring more.

Toddler storytime
Fishtown Library, 1217 E. Montgomery Ave., will hold toddler storytime on Tuesdays, at 10:30 a.m. for ages 0 to 3 1/2.

Portside art classes
Portside Arts Center, 2531 E. Lehigh Ave., is offering after-school art classes including stop motion animation, drawing and mosaics. Cione Playground programs
Cione Playground, 2600 Aramingo Ave., is offering programs to the public. Zumba classes will be held on Fridays, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and cost is $5 per class. Free arts and crafts for kids ages 5 to 12 will take place on Saturdays, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Flag Football for kids 10 to 12. Cost is $5. Glavin Playground programs
Frank Glavin “A&W” Playground is offering the following programs. Improv for Kids is held on Thursdays, from 6:30 to 7:30, for children ages 8 to 12. The drama program aims to improve self-confidence, social skills and teach kids how to make up silly scenes on the spot. Fee is $40 for eight weeks. Advance registration is required. Book Club for youth ages 6 and over will be held on Mondays, from 6 to 6:30 p.m. with Miss Bridget. Program is free. Chess Club for youth ages 6 and older will be held on Tuesdays, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Participants will learn the basics of chess and strategies to improve. Cost is $20 for eight weeks. Food pantry hours change
St. Michael’s Church, Trenton Avenue and Cumberland Street, has revised hours for the weekly food pantry distributions. Distribution hours are from 11 a.m. to noon. There will no longer be evening hours. Members from the 19125 and 19134 may come twice a month or three times a month if a month has five Thursdays. For details, call 215–423–0792.

Nutrition assistance for seniors
Residents 60 and older who are disabled and have low to modest income may be eligible for SNAP benefits. If you are single and your income is less than $1962 a month, or less than $2656 a month for a couple, you may qualify. There is no limit on how much a senior has in savings and checking accounts. For assistance in completing an application, schedule an appointment with the Social Service Coordinator at St. Anne’s Senior Center, 2607 E. Cumberland St., 215–426–9799.

Women self-defense classes
Women self-defense classes will be held at Fishtown Recreation Center, 1202 E. Montgomery Ave., on Tuesdays, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per class. Course certification available. Yoga at Towey Rec

Support group
Lost parents and family members group meets every third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at Cione Recreation Center, Lehigh and Aramingo avenues. Anyone who is suffering from the loss of a loved one, friend or whoever is welcome.

Bridesburg food pantry
Bridesburg Recreation Center, 4625 Richmond St., is accepting nonperishable food and clothing donations for the needy in the neighborhood. Donations can be dropped off on weekdays, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Kirtan class
MotherHeart Studio, 2359 E. Susquehanna Ave., welcomes everyone in the neighborhood to take part in MotherHeart Kirtan. Kirtan is the recitation of spiritual ideas through songs of devotion. Style is call and response singing of mantra and sounds.Event begins at 7:15 p.m on every second Friday of the month. Donation only.

Bingo at Ukrainian Cathedral

Bingo at St. Anne’s Center

Senior exercise classes
Exercise classes for people 50 and older will be offered at St. Anne’s Senior Center, 2607 E. Cumberland St. Class schedule will be Enhance-Fitness on Mondays at 12:30 p.m., Thursdays at 11 a.m., and Fridays, at 10:30 a.m., Chair Yoga on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. (except the second Tuesday of each month), and Tai Chi on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.

Creative art classes
St. Anne’s Senior Center, 2607 E. Cumberland St., is offering creative workshops for individuals ages 50 and older. Clay Creations will be held on Fridays, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Creating with the Color Wheel, an interactive painting class with Michael Secor, will be held on Tuesdays, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Registration required. Bridesburg bows and banners
Bridesburg Recreation Center, 4625 Richmond St., has patriotic, police, firemen, breast cancer bows and Bridesburg pride banners available for purchase. . Bows and banners cost $3 each and can be purchased any weekday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Orders for bows for special events are available with three-day delivery. Marine veterans group
