Learn how to enter a chili submission or be a judge
Who’s ready for the 2017 Subaru Fall Festival and Chili Competition at Greensgrow Farms? This year the event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7, with the contest and tasting taking place from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the winners being announced at 1:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to taste chili from the talented contestants and cast a ballot for the favorite. To participate as a judge, attendees are asked to make a $5 donation to Greensgrow Farms to help feed the friendly farm animals. Judges will also get a souvenir mug and a taste of each chili before they vote.
To participate, those interested must read the full list of rules for entry and fill out the registration form (both available at: http://www.greensgrow.org/about-us/subarufallfestival/chili-competition/) by Saturday, Sept. 23. On the day of the event, entries must be brought in by 10:45 a.m. to Greensgrow Farms, located at 2501 E. Cumberland St.
First place will receive bragging rights, a $100 Subaru Gear Gift Card and a $100 Greensgrow Gift Card. Second place will be awarded a $50 Subaru Gear Gift Card and a $50 Greensgrow Gift Card, and third place will be given a $25 Subaru Gear Gift Card and a $25 Greensgrow Gift Card.
