“Day of Wellness” set for Oct. 30

Holy Redeemer Hospital will be offering a free breast exam and mammography.

On Monday, Oct. 30, Holy Redeemer Hospital, located at 1648 Huntingdon Pike in Jenkintown, will be offering a “Day of Wellness” to the women of Port Richmond.

The event will include a free breast exam and mammography to those who qualify for screening. This screening is available to women who are 40 years old or older, and who are uninsured and have not had a mammogram in the past year.

Attendees will also learn about how a healthy lifestyle and screening contribute to early detection and prevention of breast cancer. Transportation will be provided to and from the Holy Redeemer Women’s Center in Southampton.

Note: Attendees must bring any prior mammography films with them.
