Mural Arts kicks off Series with Poet Ursula Rucker

Open Mic Night with Ursula Rucker will happen again tomorrow night, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 from 4–6 p.m.

The room buzzed at the Kensington Porch Light Storefront last Friday as renowned poet Ursula Rucker took the stage. This was the first of four Open Mic nights hosted byMural Arts and the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services that will feature Rucker and other community artists brave enough to share their talents with neighbors and friends. In conjunction with the open mics, Rucker is also hosting poetry workshops the Wednesdays before, free and open to the public.
