Capt. Krista Dahl Campbell offers suggestions to local businesses prior to upcoming Eagles game on Sunday night

A message for members of the 26th Police District:

To our community partners and business owners,

As you are aware, on Sunday night, Jan. 21, the Philadelphia Eagles host the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game.

In an effort to avoid any issues with excessive celebration, during and after the game, we suggest if you own a business in one of our commercial corridors, and your business is closed for the day, please ensure the following:

· Your security gates are closed and secured in an effort to prevent vandalism.

· Remove trash cans, flower pots, and seating from outside of your business.

· Ensure your security cameras are on and recording.

If you own a liquor establishment, we suggest you inform your staff of the following:

· Monitor patrons’ alcohol consumption — do not continue to serve intoxicated persons.

· Do not let patrons leave your establishment with open containers of alcohol.

· Refrain from selling take out alcohol in glass bottles.

The Philadelphia Police Department will be present in our business corridors, as well as additional locations where there is a potential for large celebrations. Our goal is to prevent any issues and create a safe environment for everyone. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Go Eagles!!!

Sincerely,

Krista Dahl Campbell
