Bridesburg Tot Rec
Bridesburg Recreation Center, 4625 Richmond St., is accepting information for its 2018–2019 Tot Rec program. Children must be 3 or 4 as of Sept. 1. FNA zoning meeting
Fishtown Neighbors Association will hold a zoning meeting on Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. at Fishtown Recreation Center, 1202 E. Montgomery Ave. Voting will take place on a proposal for the demolition of existing structure and the erection of a new three-dwelling unit structure with three enclosed off-street parking spaces at 2200 E. Gordon St. and a proposal for lot subdivision and erection of two single family homes with unenclosed front-loaded off-street parking and roof deck at 2356–58 E. Fletcher St. All residents and business owners in Fishtown are eligible to vote. OLPR Family Auction
Our Lady of Port Richmond will hold its annual Family Auction on Friday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Food will be available for purchase starting at 5 p.m. and drawings for baskets will start at 7:30 pm sharp. Winners do not have to be present for the drawings. Tickets are 25 for $5 and can be purchased at the auction or in advance through an OLPR student.The auction is located in the lower hall and everyone is invited to enter through the Edgemont Street school yard.
Summer Camp registration
The Welcome Center Summer Camp will be holding registrations on Friday, April 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gym at Grace Church, 2645 E. Venango St. Camp will be held Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., from June 18 through Aug. 10. Children ages 5 to 12 are encouraged to enroll. Cost is $1200 for all eight weeks, or $150 per week if signing up for individual weeks. First week’s payment is due at signup.
Irish spring fling

Palmer Park cleanup
The Friends of Fishtown and the Fishtown Beer Runners invite all to come out to help get Palmer Park, Frankford Avenue & Palmer Street, ready for the season. The event will be held on Saturday, April 7, starting at 9 a.m. Some equipment will be available, but bring a broom and some gloves and join in on the fun. This is part of the Philly Spring Clean Up that will be going on throughout the neighborhood.
Read, Baby, Read Stay and Play Stations
Read, Baby, Read Stay and Play Stations will be available at the Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St., on Saturday, April 7, at noon. Parents with babies and toddlers can come explore fun activities that can help babies learn language through playing, singing, talking, reading and basic baby signs. Jason’s Autism Avengers breakfast
Assemble with Jason’s Autism Avengers and have Breakfast with Spider-Man to raise money and awareness for autism. Riverfront North events
Riverfront North, formerly DRCC, will host a riverside cleanup at Pulaski Park and on the Port Richmond Trail on Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will help with riverside trash collection, invasive plant removal, Port Richmond trail maintenance, plantings and more. Home run derby
The city Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a Junior Home Run Derby on Saturday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Ryan Howard Field, at 9th Street and Hunting Park Avenue. Winners will advance to regional competitions, with regional winners advancing to the national finals, held during Major League Baseball’s all-star week. Nutrition assistance for seniors
Residents 60 and older who are disabled and have low to modest income may be eligible for SNAP benefits. If you are single and your income is less than $1,962 a month, or less than $2,656 a month for a couple, you may qualify. There is no limit on how much a senior has in savings and checking accounts.
