Food Drive
In conjunction with Philabundance, a food drive will be held until the end of June with donation points at South Kensington Community Partners , 1301 N. 2nd St.,, PlayArts, 1241 N .Front St., the UPS Store, 3rd Street and Girard Avenue, and Spot’s Spot Pet Grooming, 123 W. Girard. Among Philabundance’s most-needed items are canned fruits and veggies, canned tuna, meat and soup; cereal; PB and J; rice; cooking oil, and whole grain pasta.
Read, Baby, Read My First Storytime
Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St., will host Read, Baby, Read My First Storytime on and Thursday, May 31 at 11 a.m. Bring your little one for free lap time with stories, songs, rhymes and bounces. MDG Italian Festival
Mother of Divine Grace‘s annual Italian Festival will be held on Thursdays, May 31, and June 7; Fridays, June 1 and 8; and Saturdays, June 2 and 9; at Thompson and Cambria Streets starting at 6 p.m. Spaghetti suppers will be served every night in the air-conditioned school hall from 5 to 8 p.m. Take-out will be available beginning at 4 p.m. All are welcome to come and enjoy fried dough, pizza, sausage and peppers, meatballs and roast pork sandwiches all cooked homemade and served in the food court; wheels of chance, moon bounce, and plenty of games for children of all ages; beer garden offering domestic and imported beers, along with specialty drinks; and Monte Carlo. FNA zoning meeting
Fishtown Neighbors Association will hold a zoning meeting on Tuesday, June 5, at 7 p.m. at Fishtown Recreation Center, 1202 E. St. George annual School Bazaar
Saint George Parish will host its annual Summer School Bazaar on Thursdays, June 7 and 14, Fridays, June 8 and 15, and Saturdays, June 9 and 16. June 8 is Alumni Night and June 15 is Principal Danny Markowski Appreciation Night. Flag Disposal Event

Ferko in concert at PPH
The Joseph A. St. Adalbert Parish Summer Bazaar
St. Adalbert Parish Summer Festival will take place on Thursday, June 21, Friday, June 22, Saturday, June 23, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 24, from noon to 5 p.m. at the parish grounds, Allegheny Avenue & Thompson Street. Property Tax / Rent Rebate Program
Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program applications are now available. There are new guidelines, which will permit individuals who qualify to receive a rebate between $250 and $650 from property taxes or rent paid last year. This application must be filed by June 30. To qualify, you must be a senior citizen 65 years of age or older, a widow or widower 50 years of age or older, or a disabled person 18 years or older. Homeowners who have annual incomes of $35,000 or less and renters with annual incomes of $15,000 or less could qualify. Only half of your annual Social Security or SSI income is counted toward the income guideline. Nutrition assistance for seniors
Residents 60 and older who are disabled and have low to modest income may be eligible for SNAP benefits. If you are single and your income is less than $1,962 a month, or less than $2,656 a month for a couple, you may qualify. There is no limit on how much a senior has in savings and checking accounts.
