Lillian Marrero activities

Every Friday, the Lillian Marrero Branch, 601 W. Lehigh Ave., will offer different physical fitness activities throughout the summer on Fridays at 11 a.m. for kids. Activities include yoga, dancing and jump rope. Every Monday, the library will host adult yoga from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Roots to Rise instructors will lead the classes. All classes are part of a healthy community initiative at the branch in partnership with the Philadelphia Health Department.

Crochet Club

The Lutheran Settlement House, 1340 Frankford Ave., will hold Crochet Club every Thursday at 9 a.m. For more details, call 215–426–8610.

Read, Baby, Read My First Storytime

Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St., will host Read, Baby, Read My First Storytime on and Thursday, July 19, at 11 a.m. Bring your little one for free lap time with stories, songs, rhymes and bounces. For children ages birth to 12 months with caregiver. Childcares and groups, please call the library to make an appointment. Call ahead to make sure the library is open.

A Wrinkle In Time Book Club

Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St, will host A Wrinkle in Time book club on Thursday, July 19, at 2 p.m. Read Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle In Time and do related crafts and activities. Sign up required.

Movie night in Powers Park

The Powers Park Conservancy in partnership with the Philadelphia Film Society, the Richmond Branch of the Free Library, and Port Richmond Town Watch presents Eleanor’s Secret. Movie starts at dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m., on Friday, July 27, with games and events prior at 6:30 p.m. including book readings at 8 p.m. at Powers Park, Ann & Almond streets. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will move inside to the Richmond Library adjacent to the park.

30th annual Sean Daily Tournament

The Port Richmond Tigers will host the 30th annual Sean Daily Memorial Sports Tournament on Friday, July 27, Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29, at Cohox Playground, Cedar and Ann streets. The event includes softball, basketball, soccer for all ages, women’s volleyball. Teams should register at the Clubhouse, Chatham and Ann streets, by Friday, July 20. Fleet Reserve Association meeting

Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) George L. Carlin; Branch 001 will hold a meeting, Monday, Aug. 6, at 1 p.m. at USCG Sector Delaware Bay, 1 Washington Ave. Meetings are held the first Monday of every Monday and will be held on the second Monday if the first is a holiday. Holy Inn going to AC

Holy Innocents Catholic Church is organizing a casino trip for Wednesday, Aug. 15.

A bus will depart from L Street and Hunting Park Avenue at 9:30 a.m. A Mass will be celebrated at noon at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall, followed by a procession to a blessing of the sea. A carnival-like reception at St. Michael Church will follow.

The trip includes a $25 slots package at Tropicana Casino. The bus will depart the casino at 5 p.m. The cost is $30, and money is due by Aug. 6.To reserve your seat, call Cindy at 215–535–2740.

16th annual Shore Thing

St. Anne Parish will hold its 16th annual Shore Thing on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Keenan’s, Wildwood, NJ. Tickets cost $35 and include domestic bottled beer, wine, soda, buffet, music, and photo booth. All proceeds go toward the installation of an elevator life in St. Anne Church. Vermont-New Hampshire trip
