Revised Mass schedule for Port Richmond parishes

The new Mass schedule for St. George, Mother of Divine Grace, and Nativity parishes is now in effect.

Saturdays Masses will be held at MDG at 4 p.m. and Nativity 5:30 p.m. Sunday Masses will be held at St. George at 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Nativity at 10 a.m., and MDG at 11:30 a.m. ••

Richmond Library events

Night Out Restaurant Week

For the fifth consecutive year, Night Out Restaurant Week will include favorite eateries throughout Fishtown, Northern Liberties and Penn’s Landing.

From Friday, Aug. 10, to Sunday, Aug. 19, diners can enjoy three-course meals on a $30 to $35 prix fixe menu, with select restaurants offering a $15 to $20 fixed-price lunch option.

Guests who dine at an official Night Out Restaurant Week establishment between Friday, Aug. 10, and Sunday, Aug. 19, are eligible to receive $10 in Free Slot Play at SugarHouse Casino. During this time, guests can visit the casino and show their dining receipt at Rush Rewards to receive the offer.

Introduction to Glass Etching

A neighbors’ sidewalk sale will be held on Sunday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tulip Street between Hagert and Letterly streets.

Fatima Holy Hour for World Peace

There will be a Fatima Holy Hour for World Peace sponsored by The Word Apostolate of Fatima at Saint John Cantius Chapel located at Thompson Street above Orthodox Street in Bridesburg on Monday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m.

Devotions include rosary and procession of Fatima statue. All are welcome. ••

Holy Innocents Church going to AC

Holy Innocents Catholic Church is organizing a casino trip for Wednesday, Aug. 15. A bus will depart from L. Street and Hunting Park Ave. at 9:30 a.m.

A Mass will be celebrated at noon at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall, followed by a procession to a blessing of the sea. A carnival-like reception at St. Michael Church will follow.

The trip includes a $25 slots package at Tropicana Casino. The bus will depart the casino at 5 p.m. The cost is $30, and money is due by Aug. 6.

16th annual Shore Thing to be held Aug. 18

St. Anne Parish will hold its 16th annual Shore Thing on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Keenan’s in Wildwood, New Jersey. Tickets cost $35 and include domestic bottled beer, wine, soda, buffet, music, and photo booth.

All proceeds go toward the installation of an elevator life in St. Anne Church.

EKNA meeting

Vermont-New Hampshire trip

Free farmers’ market vouchers

Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA)’s annual distribution is underway for free Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) produce vouchers. Eligible Philadelphia seniors can receive $20 worth of vouchers that can be used to purchase fresh Pennsylvania-grown produce sold at certified farmers’ markets throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding area.

Income-eligible Philadelphia residents who will be 60 or older by Dec. 31 of this year, may receive the vouchers at PCA, 642 North Broad St. on weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at other designated sites.

Proof of age and Philadelphia residency must be presented to receive vouchers. Acceptable forms of identification include Pennsylvania driver’s license or non-driver’s ID and other forms of ID that include age and residency. Seniors must sign in person and may receive the vouchers only once per year.

Vouchers are available while supplies last. ••
