Fight for libraries meeting is Wednesday
Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St., will host a “fight for libraries” meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m.

Fall Toy Train Show and Sale
The Train Collectors Association Atlantic Division will hold its Fall Toy Train Show and Sale on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sheet Metal Workers Union Hall, 1301 S. Columbus Boulevard.
Admission is $5.00 per attendee, or per family of two adults and all children 12 and under years. There will be a variety of vintage toy trains and repair parts for sale, operating toy train layouts, and toy train activities for the kids. Food is available on premises.

Lutheran Settlement House programming

State Sen. Tartaglione senior expos
State Sen. Christine Tartaglione invites older Philadelphians and their primary caregivers to her annual series of Senior Expos that will visit three community sites in the 2nd Senate District in the coming weeks.
All three events will present information about a multitude of senior programs and services offered by public agencies and private providers. Holy Name of Jesus Parish will be hold a fall festival on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Subaru Fall Festival at Greensgrow
Subaru Fall Festival at Greensgrow Farms, 2501 E. Cumberland St., will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The festival will feature live music, local food and drink, crafts from local vendors, children’s activities, samples from or compete in the annual Chili Competition and Apple Pie Competition, cider pressing, the Beebeard, Adopt-a-Pet, and the Subaru Coat Drive.

St. George Pony Poo Bingo
Friends of Saint George will host St. George Pony Poo Bingo on Saturday, Oct. 6, at noon in the St. George school yard, Edgemont and Venango streets.
Tickets are $20 per block. Grand prize is $5,000. The event will feature face painting, balloon artist, moon bounce, food, and beverages.

Post 821 Chili Cook-Off is Oct. 7
American Legion Post 821, 4404 Salmon St., will host its first chili cook-off contest on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m. Members, sons, and auxiliary in good standing are eligible to compete. Cost to compete is $20.
A judges’ winner and “Peoples Choice Winner” will be selected. The winning chili moves on to the District final.
