Saint Laurentius to hold open house

Saint Laurentius School, 1612 E. Berks St., will hold an open house on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Thaddeus Kosciuszko tribute ceremony

The Polish American Congress, in conjunction with the Polish American Cultural Museum, extends an invitation to everyone to attend the Annual General Thaddeus Kosciuszko Tribute Ceremony, honoring the American Revolutionary War hero, on Saturday, Feb. 2, at noon in the Polish American Cultural Center Museum, 308 Walnut St.

Grief and loss support group to meet

Have you experienced a significant loss in life? Are you living with a loss of a loved one or a cherished dream, and seek healing strength to go on? You are invited to share in a group called Journey, which meets on Sundays at 2 p.m. using St. Michael’s Church, Trenton Avenue and Cumberland Street.

Board-certified chaplain and Pastor Joe Varsanyi, formerly director of pastoral care at Jefferson Hospital-Methodist Division, will lead the group in a time of learning about the impact of loss, and the process of grief, mourning and healing.

Friends of Richmond Library meeting

The Friends of Richmond Library will hold a welcome/meet and greet on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m.

Join the group for a snack, and learn how to become active in the friends group. This is a chance to advocate for the library.

Meetings will be held at the Richmond Branch, 2987 Almond St., on the third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.

Low-impact yoga classes available

St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Trenton Avenue and Cumberland Street, will host a low-impact yoga class with Amanda on Mondays, from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.

Exercise at St. Anne’s Senior Center

St. Anne’s Senior Center, 2607 E. Cumberland St., is offering exercise programs.

Programs include Enhanced Fitness on Mondays, at 10:30 a.m., and Wednesdays, at 11 a.m.; and Tai Chi on Wednesdays, at 10 a.m.

Revised Masses for Port Richmond parishes

The new Mass schedule for St. George, Mother of Divine Grace and Nativity parishes is now in effect.

Saturday Masses will be held at MDG at 4 p.m. and Nativity 5:30 p.m. Sunday Masses will be held at St. George at 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Nativity at 10 a.m., and MDG at 11:30 a.m. ••

Post 821 seeks new members

American Legion Auxiliary Post 821, at 4404 Salmon St., would like to invite women who are qualified to join the post. Individuals must have a blood relative who is now serving or did serve in the military to join. Yearly dues are $20.
