Inaugural Youth Bri Tri registration
Registration is now open for the Inaugural Youth Bri Tri, which will be held Saturday, June 29, at the Bridesburg Recreation Center, 4600 Richmond St.
Cost is $10 per child, and each age group has a 100-participant capacity. Group 1 is 5–7, Group 2 is 8–10, and Group 3 is 11–13. Tentative start times are 8:30 a.m. for Group 1, 9:30 a.m. for Group 2 and 10:30 a.m. for Group 3. Event starts at the pool. ••

Tigers Mother’s Day raffle
The Port Richmond Tigers will raffle off a PA Lottery $5 roll of scratch-offs.
Drawing will be on Saturday, May 11, at Cohox Playground, Ann and Cambria streets, after Skills Day.

Travel with North alums on Saturday
The Northeast Catholic Alumni Association is sponsoring a trip to Baltimore on Saturday, May 11.
A bus will depart the alumni house at Rhawn and Fairfield streets at 8:30 a.m. and arrive back at 8:30 p.m.
The day includes a ticket to the National Aquarium at 11 a.m. and a sit-down late lunch/early dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe at 2 p.m.
There will be about three hours of free time before the bus departs the Inner Harbor at 6:30 p.m.
The cost is $110.

FNA zoning meeting
The Fishtown Neighbors Association will hold a zoning meeting on Tuesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. at Fishtown Rec Center, 1202 E. Montgomery Ave.
Voting will take place on two projects, including a proposal for a two-story rear yard addition to an existing two-story single family house at 608 Miller St.; refusal is for rear yard depth; and a proposal for three dwelling units in a mixed-used commercial CMX-2 zoning district at 2360 E. Susquehanna Ave. Refusals include minimum lot area for three dwelling units and lack of ground floor commercial.
All residents and business owners in Fishtown are eligible to vote. Bring proof of residence or business ownership in the form of a driver’s license or a photo ID and a lease, utility bill or recent piece of mail addressed to your home.

Bethesda Methodist Church, 2820 E. Venango St., will host a multifamily, outdoor flea market on Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Flea market at LSH
The Lutheran Settlement House, 1340 Frankford Ave., will host a flea market on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will feature food, music, art, lightly used items and hand-made crafts. Programming for individuals 55 and older featuring boxed lunch on a first-come, first-serve basis will be included.
Vendors welcome and are asked to donate one item to the flea market’s raffle. All proceeds from the raffle and the cost to vendors will benefit LSH senior center.
Cost for vendors is $15 with table provided for senior center members, $30 with table provided for all other vendors, or $20 bring a table for all other vendors.

The Ladies of Port Richmond will host its 15th annual Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, May 19, at 10 a.m. at Samuel Recreation Center, 3539 Gaul St.

St. Hubert High School will hold a trip on June 18.
A bus will depart the school, at Torresdale and Cottman avenues, at 8:45 a.m. A 50–50 and lottery basket drawing will take place.
There will be a one-hour ride on a cruise ship in Atlantic City.
Next will be a four-hour stay at Resorts Casino, with $25 back in slot cash.
The day will end with a sit-down dinner and wine at Tomasello Winery in Hammonton.
The bus will arrive back at the school at about 9 p.m.
The cost is $80, which must be paid in full by May 15.

Help build POW/MIA monument
The Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial is looking for a few good benefactors to donate granite for the construction of a POW/MIA monument at Penn’s Landing.
The PVVM Fund is about three-quarters of the way toward the $126,000 needed to build the national monument. The design, by architect Doug Seiler, will feature individually cut pieces of granite arranged to look like a stockade of a POW camp.
Construction should be completed by national POW/MIA Day on Sept. 20, 2019.

Registration for summer camp at Bridesburg Recreation Center, 4601 Richmond St., is now open.
There will be two encampments, which will run four weeks each. Encampments include early, day and extended camps.
The first encampment will run from Monday, June 17, to Friday, July 12. The second encampment will run from Monday, July 15, to Friday, Aug. 9.
