NB Shop, a multicultural unisex barber shop in Fishtown, is hosting its 10th annual back-to-school giveaway.

“It’s just for kids to have the tools they need for school,” said owner Nathaniel Brooks. “Now that I have it, I’d rather give it.”

Brooks pays for all the complimentary supplies out of pocket.

Children are welcome to come by and fill a bag with items that include glue, pens, markers, crayons, loose leaf paper and notebooks.

The barber shop, located at 535 E. Girard Ave., is open Wednesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Additionally, students who bring in a report card with all As receive a complimentary haircut.
