Richmond Library programs

Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St., is offering free, socially distanced programming to the public.

A storywalk is posted on the fence surrounding the perimeter of the property. Each book will be changed about every three to four weeks.

“It’s a socially distant, but active and fun way to read a book. It’s also accessible to everyone, not just those with an internet connection like our virtual programs,” said Meghan Dondero, children’s librarian at Richmond Library. “I know everyone is missing in-person library programs and looking for ways to get out of the house, so hopefully this will be a bright spot in many people’s days.”

Virtual Storytime and Activi-day Thursday are continuing on the library’s Facebook page.

Take-and-make kits will be available to pick up at the front of the library on select Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Each kit contains instructions for crafts and all or almost all of the supplies needed, plus some bonus activity ideas. There will also be video instructions and upcoming dates posted on the Facebook page.

Supplies are limited and are first-come, first-serve. ••
