Philadelphia’s newest music venue, the Brooklyn Bowl, is set to open at 1009 Canal St. in Fishtown on Nov. 4.

The 1,000-capacity venue is the fourth destination for the legendary club, along with its original site in Brooklyn and additional spots in Las Vegas and Nashville.

Co-founder Peter Shapiro said in a press release that Philadelphia’s deeply rooted history in rock, soul, funk, jazz and hip hop makes it the perfect location for its latest expansion.

“That deep history, along with Live Nation’s success and contributions in the Fishtown neighborhood, made us excited to partner with Geoff Gordon and his Live Nation team in bringing Brooklyn Bowl to Philadelphia,” Shapiro said.

Brooklyn Bowl’s flagship venue was ranked the No. 1 Busiest Club in New York City and nominated for Nightclub of the Year at the 30th Annual Pollstar Awards. Its Las Vegas establishment has been voted Readers’ Choice “Best Music Venue” for the last four years.

In addition to acting as a concert venue, the Brooklyn Bowl space offers dining options and multiple bar areas, and features a fully functioning bowling alley.

“With each Brooklyn Bowl venue, we’re excited to see our audiences take in the experience,” said co-founder Charley Ryan. “Now that we can gather again, it’s particularly meaningful.”

The venue will kick off its opening with a three-show engagement by soul-jazz trio Soulive called Bowlive. That will be followed by a multi-genre lineup of over 30 shows performed by, among many others, Philly native Questlove, New York MC’s Talib Kweli and Rakim, Grammy-nominated songstress Yola, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and country-pop star Dylan Scott.
