Rivers Casino recently announced that singer Freddie Jackson and former American Idol winner Ruben Studdard will headline Valentine’s Day weekend with a show on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m.

“One show — two incredible performers. Freddie Jackson and Ruben Studdard will bring R&B and romance to Rivers Casino at the perfect time to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Justin Moore, general manager of Rivers Casino, in a press release.

Jackson, who has been active since the mid-1980s, is best known for hits such as “Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times’ Sake),” “Have You Ever Loved Somebody,” “Jam Tonight,” “Tasty Love,” “You Are My Lady” and “Nice & Slow.” He most recently released his 14th studio album, Love Signals, in 2018.

Studdard rose to prominence as the winner of the second season of American Idol and has since put together a successful solo career. He received a Grammy nomination in 2003 for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for the song “Superstar.” He has released six studio albums, including his platinum-selling debut Soulful.
