Freddie Jackson and Ruben Studdard to headline Valentine’s Day weekend at Rivers

Rivers Casino recently announced that singer Freddie Jackson and former American Idol winner Ruben Studdard will headline Valentine’s Day weekend with a show on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m.

“One show — two incredible performers. Freddie Jackson and Ruben Studdard will bring R&B and romance to Rivers Casino at the perfect time to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Justin Moore, general manager of Rivers Casino, in a press release.

Jackson, who has been active since the mid-1980s, is best known for hits such as “Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times’ Sake),” “Have You Ever Loved Somebody,” “Jam Tonight,” “Tasty Love,” “You Are My Lady” and “Nice & Slow.” He most recently released his 14th studio album, Love Signals, in 2018.

Studdard rose to prominence as the winner of the second season of American Idol and has since put together a successful solo career. He received a Grammy nomination in 2003 for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for the song “Superstar.” He has released six studio albums, including his platinum-selling debut Soulful.
