Community Integrated Services and Impact Services Corporation both received funding to help assist their efforts to uplift communities in need of support.

These grants are aimed to support programs that offer the necessary resources for Philadelphians to earn in-demand jobs that pay living wages. They also aid transitional employment programs for those who may need extra support.

“The employment initiatives led by these organizations will help support increased economic opportunities and stability for more Philadelphians and their families,” said Janet Haas, the board chair of the William Penn Foundation, in a press release. “The programs are experienced in connecting people to the jobs and careers that will help build a stronger future for their families and for the city of Philadelphia.”

The grants were given out as part of the foundation’s Family Recovery Fund, which looks to provide access to food, housing, employment and other opportunities for families in need by supporting direct grantmaking and matching funds.
