Kraftwork introduces new chef and menu

Nearly a dozen new items in addition to new daily specials are being added.

Fishtown gastropub Kraftwork recently introduced a new chef, a fresh new menu, as well as a slate of new nightly specials. 

Chef David Green, who brings over two decades of restaurant experience with him, will be preparing the new dining options available at the bar and restaurant located on Montgomery and Girard avenues that has been in operation since 2010.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to get back in the kitchen at a really cool spot in the heart of Fishtown where I can see new and fresh faces come through the door every single day,” Green said in a press release.

Some of the new dishes that will be added to the menu are grilled pear salad, a braised short rib platter, birria tacos, a short rib cheesesteak, baked potato soup, cheesesteak egg rolls, crab fries, beef chili and buffalo wings.

Green will also be introducing “Side Project Jerk Wings,” a collaboration with Side Project Jerky owner Mark Espinosa, whom Green connected with through Instagram and expressed his excitement at being able to team up with. 

“He creates all these wonderful flavors and does a lot of work with restaurants in Philly,” Green said. “I’m really excited to work with him and offer a new menu item that you can’t find anywhere else.”

New weekly specials include half-priced burgers on Mondays, $1 tacos on Tuesdays, $1 wings on Wednesdays, $12 unlimited ravioli on Thursdays and a rotating tap takeover on Fridays.

Kraftwork is open from 4 to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, and 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. In addition, weekend brunch service is available Saturday and Sunday until 3 p.m.
