St. Hubert day trip

St. Hubert will hold its seventh annual summer fun day trip on Tuesday, June 21. There will be a one-hour ride on a cruise ship, followed by a four-hour stay at Resorts casino, with $10 back in slot cash. The day will end at the Tomasello winery for a sitdown dinner and complimentary wine tasting.

Quiz Show Fun: Yesteryear’s Big Hitters

Journalist, author and broadcaster Ed Eisen will host Quiz Show Fun: Yesteryear’s Big Hitters, a quiz show about the big stars of radio, television and the silver screen, on April 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Redeemer Health Lafayette, 8500 Verree Road. Sign up for senior softball

Philadelphia Senior Softball League is looking for experienced players for their 58 and over league. The season starts mid-April and runs through September. There are about 30 games along with playoffs. No games are played in July. Games are played Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. at Crispin Field, Holme and Convent avenues.

Craft fair on April 3

The Villages of Pine Valley will host a craft fair on Sunday, April 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its clubhouse, 900 Pine Valley Blvd. There will be homemade candy, jewelry, wreaths, candles and more.

Clothing drive for charity

The Marlyn Chakov Fein Chapter, Fox Chase Cancer Center is running a clothing drive on Saturday, April 23. The event will be held at 604 Township Line Road, Cheltenham, from 9 a.m. to noon. Bring your gently used clothing, accessories, books and small trinkets in bags or boxed for pick-up. The event supports cancer research and compassionate patient care.

The Marlyn Chakov Fein Chapter, Fox Chase Cancer Center is running a fashion show – Couture For The Cure – on Sunday, May 1 at the Sheraton Bucks County, 400 Oxford Valley Road, Langhorne. The Congregations of Shaare Shamayim, the Sisterhood, the Men’s Club and the Chaverim announce a joint Zoom program scheduled for Thursday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m.  The program is Top Songs of the ‘40s, ‘50s, ‘60s and Beyond. Charlie D will emcee the evening. The cost is $25 and open to all. There will also be a 50/50 – $5 for one chance or $10 for 3 chances. Mission BBQ honoring Vietnam vets

National Vietnam Veterans Day is Tuesday, March 29. Mission BBQ, 11000 Roosevelt Blvd, is offering a free sandwich for Vietnam War veterans. As always, the national anthem will be played at noon.

Tea time

The Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation will be presenting its 25th anniversary tea on Sunday, April 24, from 2-4 p.m., at its headquarters at 321 Cedar St., Bristol Borough. Three Father Judge graduating classes will be holding reunions this year.

The Class of 1962 will hold its 60-year reunion at the Ashburner Inn on Sunday, Sept. 11.

History presentation in Bristol

The Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation, 321 Cedar St., in Bristol Borough, will present The History of Burlington Island on Sunday, March 27, at  2 p.m. The presentation will be given by Judy Gauntt, president and founder of the Friends of Burlington Island. St. Maria Goretti Class of 1970’s 50 (+2) reunion will be held on April 24. Postponed because of COVID, it will be a celebration of those born in 1952 who will also turn Classy 70 this year. Trip to Atlantic City

Bridesburg Rec Summer Camp

Bridesburg Recreation Center, 4601 Richmond St., will hold summer camp registration beginning Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m.

There will be two encampments each running three weeks. Each session will offer early, day and extended options.

Camp is for youth in kindergarten through sixth grade as of September 2022.

Cost is $90 for early camp, $300 for day camp and $150 for extended camp.

First encampment will run from Tuesday, July 5 to Friday, July 22.

Second encampment will run Monday, July 22 to Friday, Aug. 12.

Portside Arts Center classes at Cherry Street Pier

Portside Arts Center at Cherry Street Pier, 121 N. Columbus Blvd., will host kids and adult classes.

Children’s Saturday class will be held on Saturdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The class is for ages 4 to 10. Cost is $15 per class or four classes for $55.

Teen Portfolio Building Workshop will be held on Saturdays, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for ages 11 to 17.

Cost is $20 per class or four for $70.

Draw What You Feel Teen Workshops will be held on Saturday, April 2 and 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. for ages 11 to 17. Cost is $25 or $40 for both.

Family Art Night will be held every first Friday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for all ages. Cost is $25 per family.

Stained Glass Adult class will be held on Wednesdays, from April 27 to May 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $295.

Portside on the Pier Summer Arts Camp will be held from June 27 from Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, for ages 6 to 10. Cost is $200 per week.

Samuel Rec Summer Camp

Samuel Recreation Center, 3549 Gaul St., will hold summer camp registration beginning Monday, April 4.

Registration will be available online; a link will be posted on the Samuel Rec Center Facebook page.

Camp is for children ages 6 to 12 and will run from Tuesday, July 5 to Friday, Aug. 12.

Cost is $600 and is due in two installments.

Camp includes daily breakfast and lunch, daily swimming, arts and crafts, sports, guest speakers and one trip per week.

Penn Treaty scholarship donations

Friends of Penn Treaty School and Fishtown Neighbors Associations are raising funds for the second annual Penn Treaty Neighborhood Scholarship.

The scholarship will be awarded to two seniors graduating from Penn Treaty School, 600 E. Thompson St., and support their post-high school education goals with an award of up to $5,000 each.

The organizations are working to raise $10,000 this year.

Applications for scholarships are due April 8 and winners will be announced on or before April 25.

Recipients will be honored at the FNA June general membership meeting on Wednesday, June 15.

Flea market

A flea market will be held at Almond and Cumberland streets, behind First Class Daycare, in the parking lot every Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Flea market at Roosevelt Mall

The Roosevelt Mall Flea Market will run outdoors in the parking lot at 2445 Cottman Ave., every Sunday from April through November, including Easter Sunday. The market runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 150 vendors will be on hand featuring new and used items, household goods, electronics and all types of general merchandise. One parking space is $30. Portside Arts Center upcoming classes

Portside Arts Center, 2531 E. Lehigh Ave., is offering classes for kids and adults.

After school arts program is held Monday through Friday, from 3 to 6 p.m., for youth in pre-k through fifth grade. Cost is $350 per month.

Beginner Upholstery adult classes will be held on Saturdays, from May 7 to June 11, from noon to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays, from May 3 to July 5, from 6 to 9 p.m.; and Thursdays, from May 5 to July 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $450.

Summer Arts Camp will be held June 20 to Aug. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for ages 4 to 13. Cost is $350 per week.
