George Benson set to perform at Rivers Casino

Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter George Benson will perform at Rivers Casino on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 8 p.m.

A 10-time Grammy-winning performer who has dabbled in pop, rock, funk and disco, Benson has recorded 36 studio albums during a career that has lasted over six decades. His discography includes 1980’s Give Me the Night and 1976’s Breezin’, which was certified triple platinum and earned him multiple Grammy Award nominations.

For his accomplishments, Benson has been awarded the NEA Jazz Masters Fellowship and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has continued to sell out venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House. 

“Jazz fans are in for a real treat,” said Justin Moore, general manager of Rivers Casino, in a press release. “George Benson is legendary, and guests will be mesmerized by someone who was born to perform on stage.”
