Dim Sum House owners Jane Guo and Jackson Fu recently announced that they will be opening their third location in Liberty Square, 1214 N. American St., later this year.

The new location will have 6,000 feet of indoor space as well as 3,000 square feet of covered outdoor space featuring a dim sum and cocktail garden. There will also be a 20-foot bar and four private event spaces.

“After an extensive search, and a pause during the pandemic, we are thrilled to announce our new third home,” Fu said in a press release. “It was well worth the wait, as we found a truly unique space that will let us expand outside for the first time ever.”

The food menu will focus on the Shanghai and Cantonese styles of dim sum while also featuring fried rice, noodles, chef specialties and other familiar Chinese dishes. Popular dishes at Dim Sum’s two other locations include Pork Soup Dumplings, Dan Dan Noodles, Roast Pork Bao and Peking Duck. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options will also be offered.

The bar menu will have a full line of spirits, eight wines by the glass, over 35 wines by the bottle, and eight cocktails. There will also be eight beers on tap and over two dozen beer selections in total.

“As a dumpling fanatic, I personally could not be more excited that Dim Sum House is opening at Girard and 2nd,” said Northern Liberties Business Improvement District Executive Director Kris Kennedy. “A dine-in Chinese restaurant, particularly a dumpling house, is a superb addition to Northern Liberties and I have no doubt it will do very well here.”

When opened, the restaurant will have lunch, dinner and bar service seven days a week. Hours are expected to be 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.

“We can’t wait to meet all of our neighbors and new patrons,” Fu said.
