Rivers Casino recently announced that it will be hosting its “Party on the Pier” to celebrate Memorial Day on Sunday, May 29, starting at 3 p.m.

The family-friendly event will feature, among many other things, games, face painting, balloon artists and live music all throughout the afternoon. An ample amount of free parking will also be offered.

“With our pop-up music stage and spectacular fireworks show, the community can enjoy the holiday weekend outside along the waterfront,” said Justin Moore, the general manager of Rivers Casino, in a press release. “This family-friendly event with music and dancing is a great way to celebrate the unofficial start of summer.”

Music on the outside stage will be performed by Slippery When Wet, a Bon Jovi tribute band, at 4 p.m. followed by Marshall Charloff & The Purple Experience, a Prince tribute band, at 7:30 p.m. Radio and club DJ Gary O will provide additional entertainment before and after the live performances.

Attendees will also be able to view fireworks displays above the Delaware River at sunset from spots all across the riverwalk.

Food will be provided by a diverse array of local food trucks including Rita’s Italian Ice.
