Wag Watch, a brand-new dog daycare and boutique founded by Jason Jennings and Brian Kelly, recently opened the doors to its first location at 807 N. 3rd St.

The 3,300-square-foot space includes five unique environments with features that cater to the play style of every dog. Themed areas at the location include Mutt Mountain, Terrier Town, Golden Gym, Lab Lounge and Portie Park. The space also offers, among other amenities, live camera streaming and an outdoor area to maintain healthy potty habits among all dogs.

“Northern Liberties is one of the most dog-friendly neighborhoods in the city,” said Kris Kennedy, the executive director of the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District, in a press release. “We know Wag Watch will be a great addition to the neighborhood, offering reliable pet sitting and grooming to local furry friend parents.”

Services that are being offered include doggy daycare, bathing and retail services. Five- and 10-day daycare packages, in addition to exit and full-service baths, are available for prospective customers.

Jennings, an Allentown native who moved to Philly in 2017 to earn an MBA from Penn’s Wharton School, and Kelly, originally from Atlanta, are both avid dog-lovers who have been doggy daycare customers in the past. The duo hopes to service the needs of any and all dogs and their owners in the neighborhood while also providing a safe, fun environment.

“Northern Liberties prides itself on being a haven for dogs,” Jennings said. “It was critical to us that we had a blank canvas to design a facility that could properly meet the needs of all our dogs – lots of space for our athletes, rooms uniquely configured to ensure every dog can have fun, and ample outdoor access. We’ll continue building an experience that brings them joy with the highest safety standards – because happy dogs are what life is all about, right?”
