Rectified Spirits, the distillery best known for its flagship product in Fishtown Iced Tea, recently announced a new partnership with Cape Beverage Distributing.

As part of the deal, the hard tea, originally invented by Interstate Drafthouse, located at 1235 E. Palmer St., in 2012, will now be distributed in New Jersey in four-pack, 12-ounce cans.

“We’re happy to have Fishtown Iced Tea on board with us here at Cape Beverage,” said Ryan Krill, the CEO of Cape Beverage, in a press release. “It has a great flavor — there’s a blend of four different spirits to enjoy alongside the pleasant, lemon tea flavors, making this brand stand out amongst a sea of single-spirit offerings.”

The cocktail, crafted with vodka, tequila, rum and triple sec, was previously served out of Interstate in pint-sized cartons of Arctic Splash iced tea before the cartons were discontinued in May. However, Rectified Spirits had partnered with Interstate a few months prior to produce the canned, replica version of the cocktail out of a former Amoroso bakery factory in Kingsessing.

Cape Beverage Distributing, which is based in Egg Harbor Township, helps supply various beverages to establishments throughout New Jersey. Other companies to partner with Cape Beverage include Starcut Ciders, Big Storm Brewing Company and Workhorse Brewing Company.

“Rectified Spirits, Fishtown Iced Tea and Cape Beverage — three kindred independent spirits joining forces to bring our locally produced, fun and flavorful ready-to-drink canned version of Philly’s favorite, Fishtown Iced Tea, to our friends and neighbors in the Garden State,” said Rectified Spirits partners John Logan and Bob Ritchie. “On the beach, on a boat, or in the backyard, we can’t help feeling that this is the start of something big.”
