Fishtown Social, located at 1525 Frankford Ave., will be hosting its second “Drink Like a (Fish)towner” event on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 5 to 9 p.m.

First held in February of 2020, attendees at the wine-tasting event will be able to sample about 100 of the restaurant’s rotating selection of red, white and sparkling wines throughout the evening.

“This event was a massive success the first time around, and we always planned on doing a few more of them,” said Vanessa Wong, the owner of Fishtown Social, in a press release. “But the first one happened just weeks before everything shut down, so we haven’t been in a position to do this event again until now. Now that we can, we are beyond excited to welcome in the neighborhood, open all of our bottles, educate some people on different varieties of wine, and make some donations in the process. It’s just good to see Fishtown bustling again, and I’m super excited for what should be a really fun night.”

In addition to wine, hors d’oeuvres such as meat, cheese and bread, in addition to tomato pie from Liberty PHL, will be available to those in attendance.

Due to limited space, there will be two sessions: one from 5 to 7 p.m. and another from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased either in person at Fishtown Social or by email by contacting [email protected]

A portion of the proceeds from the night will be donated to the Lutheran Settlement House.
