Pennbrook Partners recently announced that Kirkbride Arts & Apartments, located at the intersection of Thompson and Buckius streets in Bridesburg, will be having its grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 3 to 8 p.m.

Constructed on the site that was previously home to the All Saints Catholic Church until its closure in 2013, the revamped building will serve as a hub for creatives while also offering various living options.

“Reinventing this space while keeping certain historical aspects intact is something that we’re very proud of,” said Matt Semola, the co-founder of Pennbrook Partners, in a press release. “Above all else, we recognized the opportunity to cultivate a creative epicenter in a one-of-a-kind environment.”

The remaining building structures, which were originally designed by Edwin Forrest Durang in the mid- to late 1800s, have now been repurposed as part of the project to serve various roles. In addition to modern residences, it combines artist studios, office and event spaces to give creatives the resources they need.

Food and drink offerings at the open house will include an assortment of food trucks as well as a complimentary beer garden serving small-batch brews courtesy of My Local Brew Works.

Live music will be provided by Johnny Showcase & The Mystic Ticket, St. James & The Apostles, Citizen Riot and many others.
