Joseph A. Ferko String Band recently celebrated its 100th anniversary with a banquet.

New street signs on the 2600 block of Bridge St. (at Almond Street) are marked as Joseph A. Ferko Memorial Boulevard. Replica signs were accepted by band president Scott Ratzke Sr. and captain Anthony Celenza.

City Councilman Mike Driscoll presented Ferko with a resolution. State Rep. Joe Hohenstein and Rep.-elect Pat Gallagher were also on hand. ••
