Martorano’s Prime restaurant will open in early 2023 at Rivers Casino.

This will be cook Steve Martorano’s first restaurant in his hometown.

The South Philadelphia native began making sandwiches and selling them out of his mother’s basement.

His two books, Yo Cuz! My Life, My Food, My Way and It Ain’t Sauce, It’s Gravy, chronicle his journey to restaurants in Pittsburgh, Fort Lauderdale and Atlantic City.

At Martorano’s at Rivers, high-definition, big-screen Hollywood movies, past and present, will play throughout the restaurant. It will also feature a DJ on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. ••
