Participating businesses include Santucci’s (Italian Market and Broad Street locations), 20th Street Pizza (vegan), Primary Plant Based (vegan), Pizza Shackamaxon and REAP. Fishtails Animal Rescue has 30 adoptable animals desperately in need of homes.

The collective goal is to find each pet a loving home as soon as possible. The partnering businesses have volunteered to attach thousands of flyers with the names, story and pictures of the homeless animals to their takeout bags and boxes, in hopes of helping them get quickly adopted.

Fishtails Animal Rescue was founded in 2017 by Fishtown Animal Hospital veterinarian, Dr. Lauren Cohn.

Fishtails is a foster-based nonprofit committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of the at-risk, stray and shelter animals of Philadelphia. It provides animals with necessary medical treatment, safe and loving foster homes and, ultimately, their forever home.
