Germantown Avenue will get an exciting new steakhouse experience with the opening of SIN Philadelphia later this year. Slated to open on the ground floor of The Beverly, a 51-unit luxury apartment complex at 1102 Germantown Ave., SIN Philadelphia will bring a high-end dining experience to restaurant row by combining its three essential components — Steak, Italian and Nightlife.

“The goal is to create an atmosphere and vibe that rises and matches the level of energy of the patrons, while they enjoy quality food, unique cocktails, great service and great company,” co-owner Justin Veasey said. “The team at SIN will consist of seasoned professionals and well-known names who bring years of hospitality experience from concepts across the city and region.”

Veasey and partners Mike Connors and William Muhr Jr. plan to have the 4,750-square-foot establishment ready to serve upwards of 200 seats daily for dinners, plus weekend brunch hours. The Beverly is under construction and presented by STAMM Development Group.

The kitchen will feature authentic Italian cuisine, homemade pastas and high-end steaks.

“The vision for SIN is to become known as a top destination where patrons will travel from around the city and region (and beyond) for a one-of-a-kind unique experience,” Veasey said. “Our goal is to impress and create memories. If you come on the first date, a business meeting or a special occasion, we want to help make it one for the record books and be a night you will never forget.”

SIN expects to be a destination for food lovers from around the region, tourists and visitors. Its layout and private room options should make it a top spot for weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday dinners, business dinners and other special occasions. SIN will aim to offer a vibrant bar and happy hour scene, and appeal to those looking for a weekday dinner option after a day in the office.

While SIN will aim to target an adult crowd, SIN will also aim to make younger guests comfortable and happy, with all-ages family special-occasion dining and events in the private dining room. Kid-friendly options will be available.

SIN Philadelphia is just one of many food and drink related grand openings coming to Northern Liberties in 2023. When opened, SIN will be one of the largest and most upscale restaurants in Northern Liberties.

“Northern Liberties Business Improvement DIstrict welcomes this stunning new high-end addition to the city’s fastest growing neighborhood,” NLBID Executive DIrector Kris Kennedy said. “Northern Liberties Restaurant Row has seen so many high-profile grand openings since the pandemic and we are thrilled for yet another quality addition that continues to add to the fabric and diversity of our dining scene.”

The location is part of the Northern Liberties Restaurant Row, a strip of restaurants that stretch from Girard to Spring Garden, to Liberties Walk.

“We wanted to be part of the energy, the excitement and the growth in this fast-expanded food neighborhood,” Veasey said. “There’ve been so many of my colleagues opening new restaurants in that Northern Liberties-Fishtown area and this seemed like the perfect spot. The building is also on the intersection of Northern Liberties and Fishtown – and there couldn’t be a hotter spot to open a new restaurant.”
