U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-2nd dist.) on Friday night presented a check for $500,000 to Mural Arts Philadelphia for its Color Me Back: A Same Day Work and Pay Program.

The program is based at 3200 Kensington Ave.

Accepting the check was Jane Golden, executive director of Mural Arts.

Boyle made the presentation at the Tacony LAB Community Art Center, 6918 Torresdale Ave., as he and Golden were on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new mural. ••
